Shortly after leaving home Waneta came across an mostly looked like a deformed dog that was injuired. Injured while animals are always dangerous, but thanks to her failed polymorph state she was able to instill a sense of calm and understanding letting it know she was going to try to help. After it was better it just followed her, they shared food from their hunts on their travels.
