This wall mount enables tidy placement of a 2.5" SATA / NAS disk behind an AVM Fritz!Box 7490 (or boxes with the same dimensions). One condition is to use a SATA-USB3.0 adapter from Icy Box (IB-AC603a-U3). Warning: follow this mounting sequence exactly! The wall mount will be screwed into the existing holes instead of the FB to the wall. It's essential to use flathead screws. Next, insert the SATA-USB adapter sideways. Then, you can insert the disk from above. If you distrust gravity, you can also screw down the plate sideways. Finally, hang up the FB. The cable on the adapter is long enough to reach the USB port on the side of the FB (don't forget to configure this port in the FB for USB 3.0). After mounting, the FB will be about 15mm higher. There's also plenty of storage space next to the disk for cable overhang from other connection cables to/from the FB. Print Note: Printing straight up without support structures is possible.
