http://www.dcforlife.com/product/detail/3 The space is divided into three continuous void layers when two surfaces are combined, each isolated from the others. Light shining in from outside creates varying degrees of shadow on the white surface, revealing the depth of space. However, when light shines from within, the boundary between the surfaces becomes blurred. Using Grasshopper, a digital media program, this work was created to visualize the mathematical formula: cos(x) * sin(y) + cos(y) * sin(z) + cos(z) * sin(x)-(cos(x) * sin(y) + cos(y) * sin(z) + cos(z) * sin(x))^2. When two continuous surfaces are combined, space is divided into three continuous void layers, each isolated from the others. Light shining in from outside creates varying degrees of shadow on the white surface, revealing the depth of space. However, when light shines from within, the boundary between the surfaces becomes blurred. This work realizes the infinite mathematical formula: cos(x) * sin(y) + cos(y) * sin(z) + cos(z) * sin(x)-(cos(x) * sin(y) + cos(y) * sin(z) + cos(z) * sin(x))^2, dividing complex spaces into three layers through light and shadow.
