Wan Hao i3 plus stock Fan Mod remix
thingiverse
This is a remix of the fan mod for Wanhao i3 plus, originally by NotANumber http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2023906 Three versions are available - Default, Mid, Low The main reason for this mod was due to the height of the duct compared to the nozzle height, which in the original design, was blowing air onto the heatblock rather than the print part. I took the opportunity to adjust the design slightly so air is blown downwards and thicken the parts for strength. Changes include: - The bottom lip is now wider compared to the upper lip, directing airflow downwards. - The exhaust has been made slightly wider to accommodate wiring to the heatblock, resulting in less pressure. - Walls have been thickened by 25% for added strength and warping resistance. - The duct has been lowered in two stages for different nozzle heights. Start with the default setting and adjust as needed, leaving clearance between the nozzle for potential warping. Print vertically with bed support as per the original design. Before installing, heat up the screws and pre-screw the part to avoid cracking the print. Do not over-tighten the screws. Suggested print settings for PLA 1.75mm include: - Print time: 2 hours - Layer height: .2mm - Top/bottom line width: .4mm - Wall line count: 3 - Top/bot thickness: .8mm - Top layers: 4 Infill settings are as follows: - Infill percentage: 5% - Infill type: Zigzag Print temperature and plate temperature are set to 185°C and 50°C, respectively. Enable retraction with a retract distance of 6.5mm at a speed of 60 mm/s. Enable print cooling and ensure support touches the build plate.
