Walther PPK with supports remix
myminifactory
Hey they've got an amazing 1911 with support structures in place. I caught sight of the Walther PPK model being imported into Meshmixer, where it was expertly rotated to match the 1911's design, and then built with added support within Meshmixer itself. I highly recommend printing this model with a brim on the support feet - this way, it gets a larger surface area to grip onto the bed securely. The included supports are a welcome addition. Be sure to check out my Beretta 92F model remix, which also features built-in support structures for added stability during printing. -edit- 5/20/17 I've since discovered another site that offers a "training" gun model made by Mark Fuller - I joined the model, combined it with Meshmixer's support generation tool, and then added a base (essentially a raft) to ensure maximum bed adhesion and prevent it from snapping loose during printing.
