Walther G22 Magazine Base
thingiverse
After discovering the unfortunate discontinuation of the G22 and the rising difficulty in obtaining its magazines, which have become scarce and prohibitively expensive, a straightforward solution was discovered. The magazine body for the Walther P22 is identical to that of the G22. By printing this magazine base and replacing the metal body with one from the P22, owners now have readily available and still-in-production magazines for their G22 at their disposal. To personalize their collection, some enthusiasts number each magazine; however, an unnumbered magazine base has also been included. It's worth noting that the spring in a standard G22 magazine is 1.25 inches longer than its counterpart in the P22. A test of the P22 magazine spring will be conducted to assess potential functionality issues. The spring's winding specifications are as follows: .25 inches per turn of .025-inch music wire, with an overall length of 5.2 inches, making it feasible for enthusiasts to create their own springs.
