George Mason University Math 401: Math Through 3D Printing by Taylor Fountain This print project for George Mason University's Math 401 class is an accomplishment that demonstrates my growth as a student in the course. The assignment required creating tiles that could perfectly cover a plane and meet the specifications of a designated wallpaper group. I was tasked with designing a tile for the pm wallpaper group, which has distinct characteristics: it lacks rotational symmetry, features one degree of reflectional symmetry, and does not exhibit glide symmetry. Below is a computer-generated image showcasing the resulting tile, along with portions of the code and files used to create the design (.stl and .scad).
