I have a special fondness for wall clocks because these projects can be perfectly crafted with a CNC machine, offering endless possibilities in design. Typography is my true passion, and I love experimenting with unusual materials. In this case, the element of transparency took center stage. My [Wallclock „VeneeredPMMA“](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3287041) features a 15 mm plexiglass face that's perfectly mirrored and cut from the rear – creating an unreal effect. When polished with care, it appears as though the numbers are floating. To preserve this illusion, I opted for a wooden inner section, complemented by a matching border made from the same material to achieve harmonious geometry. I chose the [Kanit](https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Kanit) font by Cadson Demak for its modern and technical aesthetic. The lightest style is remarkably thin, making it suitable for contour cuts using a 4 mm single flute end mill. I needed a large diameter to ensure deep cuts. On my first attempt, I encountered two major issues: the inner section wasn't large enough to fit snugly into the ring, forcing me to use glue – which compromised the reflecting edges. Unfortunately, the outer rim broke twice. To avoid this, it's essential to use solid hardwood or plywood and ensure a precise fit.
