UPDATE! Enhanced bed design, May 1, 2015, based on the original Wallace design by whosawhatsis. With numerous upgrades incorporated into mine, I've taken it to the next level. The rack and pinion X and Y drives have been upgraded for smooth performance. Additional features include a spool hook, motor stabilizer ends, filament guide, and removal of Y-liner bearings from motor blocks. End stop switch mounts are also included. A new highlight is the printable bed feature, with print samples displayed in images. White represents 0.2mm layers, while orange denotes 0.1mm layers. One key component not included here is the extruder; I recommend using thing:40002 for optimal results. The current print area measures 200x180x200 mm. Once I acquire longer Y rods, the print area will expand to 200x200x200 mm, and new bed rear parts will be required. Bill of materials (BOM) and build instructions are available at gkprotoforms.ca in the How-To section.
