I designed a custom frame for the Alcatel Idol 3 Smartphone, taking advantage of its affordable price and impressive performance. I used an Inkjet 3D Printer to print the frame, then sanded it down to prepare the surface for a smooth finish. Next, I applied a white lacquer to give it a sleek look. Finally, I carefully mounted the smartphone in the frame without needing to remove the back cover. In fact, you can see it here without its back cover because I was testing something. You have the option to glue 2 or 4 magnets into the frame, allowing you to easily mount it on a wall. Charging is a breeze with this setup. I used a micro usb plug for soldering and attached the + and - charging points directly onto two magnets that will be mounted on the wall. This way, when you place your smartphone on the wall using magnets, it will charge automatically. On the wall side, I applied a layer of cooper tape under the wallpaper to ensure a secure connection. One tip: consider creating a bridge between the data - and + points on the micro usb plug to enable higher current charging (ac).
