Wall Thickness Test
thingiverse
I have to admit that different printers produce varying results when it comes to printing wall thickness. Initially, I was skeptical of a friend's claim and he challenged me to test the theory. So, I created this file and printed it to see for myself. To my surprise, it turned out that his statement was indeed true. Printing this file on both an Ender3 and an X-Max printer showed some promising results. While both printers seemed to work slightly better with specific thicknesses, there were notable differences between them. I found this technique particularly useful when designing other files, as it provided a physical reference for the strength of my prints and the quality of my printer. When printing walls that are too thin for your printer, you may notice the edges being slightly fatter than expected. This can even be seen in corners. On thicker walls that require more than one pass, some separation down the middle or an uneven wall can occur.
