Wall Thickness Reference

Wall Thickness Reference

I create product designs and found it challenging to visualize wall thickness based solely on numbers. To overcome this issue, I designed a tool that serves as a visual reference. It sits on my desk and has been frequently used to determine whether a specific wall thickness appears robust enough. The tool features walls and gaps starting at 1/32 inches, incrementing by 1/32 each time. Although it's currently imperial units only, creating a metric version would be an exciting project. The spaces between the walls and gaps are identical measurements in reverse order. The text on the tool may not print well, but its clarity is not crucial. I simply added pencil markings for wall measurements. Infill design details are secondary; using whatever method yields the most accurate dimensions is acceptable.
