Wall Thickness Caliper for Carpenter Square

I have an old house that's been a challenge to work with, but creating CAD drawings has really helped me plan some DIY projects I've been wanting to tackle. To accurately measure the thickness of my walls around the door jambs, I needed a simple solution, and I was lucky to have a carpenter's square on hand. I decided to make some jaws that would turn it into a wall caliper, and it turned out to be a game-changer; now I can just subtract the distance of the closed jaws from the reading I get when measuring. The dimensions of the slots are tailored to my square, but you might need to adjust them to fit your own tool. When it comes to the fixed jaw staying in place and the sliding jaw moving freely, your mileage may vary.
