The idea of my wife was to create computer desks for our kids using colored yard sticks and wine crates; however, these desks had a tendency to rock unless anchored to the wall. To fix this issue, I crafted two small clips per desk that significantly reduced the chance of rocking while keeping them stable during normal use.
