Wall Spool Brackets

Wall Spool Brackets

Having been inspired by watching many of Thomas Salanderer's videos and viewing the awesome wall spool brackets he has in his 3D print studio, I decided it was time to create a 3D printed version. These brackets are designed to be affixed to a wall and use a metal or wooden bar/pole (max 25mm diameter) to place between 2 end brackets to hold your filament spools. The brackets will allow spools up to 30cm in diameter, but if you want smaller or larger ones, you can simply scale the design. There are 2 bracket types: Wall Spool Bracket End and Wall Spool Bracket Centre. The Wall Spool Bracket End is designed to be used at both ends of the rod/pole with captive rod/pole slots. The Wall Spool Bracket Centre is designed to be used on long runs to add additional central load support, featuring a through bar/pole slot. These are large parts that will require a print bed of at least 280mmx280mm. To create your wall 'spool system', you'll need at least 2 end brackets, central support brackets as required, one bar or pole max 25mm diameter cut to the required length, 2 screws or wall bolts (max 7mm thread diameter) per bracket, and suitable wall plugs depending on the fixing surface. I hope these prove useful to anyone wanting to create a wall-mounted spool system. Enjoy! Print Settings: Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm recommended Infill: Recommend 60% or higher
