Wall Scroll Rods

I had ordered a wall scroll and it didn't come with any mounting rods. I also wasn't about to spend 15 dollars on a few plastic sticks with magnets. So I decided to model and print my own. The scroll is about 15.5 inches or 39.4 cm wide but this design should be able to be stretched or shrunk in a slicer by editing the y dimension. The rods are divided into two parts and can easily fit on my print bed by turning them 45 degrees. They are assembled using a simple pin and hole system with a little super glue. The pins were designed to be glued to the rods with the slotted end facing the back of the scroll material giving it extra grip. they were designed to hold the material firmly without leaving any marks or lasting damage. I printed the pins by rotating them 60 degrees onto their flat side which allowed me to print them without any supports. I then made decorative plugs or end caps of the ends of the rods. A small nylon string can also be tied around these end caps giving the scroll a hanging ribbon. Total print list - 2 rods, 10 pins, 4 plugs Estimated time @ 80mm/s and 10% - 6 hours I recommend sanding the ends before assembling because many of the fittings are very snug
