I like creating useful little solutions for people who might need them later. If you have wall sconce lights or ceiling fixtures with a single gang electrical junction box hiding behind them, you'll likely encounter a problem when replacing them. The base of the new fixture, especially round ones, won't cover the corners of the electrical box completely. But don't worry, there's an easy fix for this issue. You can use a ring that gets painted or stained to match your new light fixture and conceal those visible corners of the electrical box.
