I wanted to mount my Raspberry Pi 4B including the original Raspberry 7 inch display in our garage on the wall.

I searched for a specific casing and found the design “Raspberry Pi 7 Inch Touchscreen display case” by luc_e (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1585924) to fit best for me.

But there were two issues for me:

a) The design was only for a Raspberry Pi 2 and Raspberry Pi 3.

b) There was no option or adapter for a mounting on the wall.

For issue a) I found the remix “Raspi7inch_Case_v4" by mazkagaz (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5355769) to solve this issue.

For issue b) I could not find any suitable or fitting wall mounting adapater(s) and so I decided, to design my own wall mounting adapters :-)

Mounting Instructions for my Wall Mounting Adapaters
Mount the whole casing as shown by luc_e, but do not yet screw the lid. Now insert four M3x10 mm screws (with allen key) in my wall mounting adapters (into the smaller, inner holes) through the lid and then screw tightly. Take care, that the four screws are fully inserted in the wall mounting adapters as otherwise the full casing might wobble on the wall . Then mount the whole casing with four 4mm screws (outer holes) on the wall. Length of the screws depends on the thickness of your wall. Behind the casing there is enough space for (at least my) USB power cable for the Raspberry.

I tested my wall mounting adapaters only with the following lid from luc_e: “Raspi7inch_Lid.stl”

Print Instructions (tested without any issues):

Print orientation as shown in the attached STL files

PLA

0.3 mm (for fast printing)

60% infill (I wanted to have strong and stable wall mounting adapaters, but I guess 25% or 30% will also do it)

No support

In case you want to adapt my wall mounting adapters by yourself (e.g. for other screw dimensions), I have attached my OpenSCAD files.
