Wall Mounted Wahl 9818A / SS2L Charging Cradle

The Wahl SS2L is a fine shaver, but it seems to me that every rechargeable device deserves a charge cradle. To save space on the bathroom countertop, this one mounts on the Wahl on a wall. The charge plug fits tightly in the just the right place, so that it connects and starts charging when you drop the shaver into the cradle. Note that there are two slightly different versions of this shaver, with different charge ports on the bottom. Mine is the post-2019 version, which has a trapezoidal plug, so this cradle only works with that version. If yours has the cylindrical charge plug, you'll need to modify the design a little bit, so that it holds the plug in the right spot. I meant to add covers for the screw holes before putting this on Thingiverse. The screw holes were designed with some extra room to make it practical to add some press-fit covers, but... maybe later. Or not. Life is short. Printing: The one in the picture was printed on a Prusa MK3S, using white HTPLA+ and slightly modified Draft settings. 2 shells, 20% infill. It was then painted to match the wall. If your printer has a moving bed (and perhaps even if not) you should add a raft to keep it from toppling over when it gets tall. I don't recall what settings I used, but I hope that the screenshot helps. Installing: This will depend on your wall material. My house uses sheet rock, I used a couple of wood screws that are about 1.5 inches long. I had expected to install mollies as well, but it's been solid so far. Pro Tip: Mount yours a couple inches above the electrical trim plate, so that you can plug the charger into the top outlet and use the bottom outlet for something else. In other words, learn from my mistake. Fortunately, my bathroom has another outlet on the other side of the sink, should that need arise.
