Wall-Mounted Surfboard/ Snowboard/ Ski Rack Hooks
thingiverse
Had some downtime at work to hammer out the design. Print two, use nuts and bolts to secure the hooks on a wall, then drop your board down and grab a snack. If you're an avid skier, just print one and balance it in place as seen in the photo. I added a small nail under the tips of the skis as an extra precaution, but they're not required. Print two copies - they take a while. Using a FlashForge Creator Pro, I printed ABS with 30% infill, at 235/110 temps and 70 feed rate/travel rate. It took approximately 20 hours to complete. Hit the hardware store and grab four hex bolt sets with nuts. Measure the spot where you want to install them to determine the ideal length of bolt. Feed the bolts through the inside holes going outwards, then pass them through your mounting point, finally screwing on the bolts. If the bolts are too long for the inside-out route, try dropping the nuts into the holes from within and pass the bolts through the other side, keeping an eye on the exposed length (it's clear you don't want the bolt tip protruding too far inside the hook and scratching your board). Measure to secure both hooks perfectly aligned with your surfboard or snowboard. With two mounted hooks, lay your board securely into position. Optional: If there's a bit of clearance between your board and the hooks' inner walls, consider adding something soft for extra protection.
