Simple functional wall-mounted spool holder designed for efficient use of vertical space. This innovative design enables the spool holder to function seamlessly both mounted and unmounted. A primary goal was to create a printable spool holder that utilizes minimal plastic while providing excellent support. By mounting the spool on the wall, users can maximize their desk space and maintain an organized workspace. The holder boasts impressive strength, capable of supporting a 1kg spool even on plaster board without compromising its stability. To assemble the holder, users will require readily available nuts, bolts, and nails from any hardware store. This accessibility ensures that building the holder is a straightforward process. In addition to the basic design, I have included spool-608 bearing adaptors specifically tailored for colorfabb and makergeeks filaments. These adaptors ensure a smooth rotation of the spool on the rod shaft, providing optimal performance. The 608 bearings used in these adaptors were sourced from ebay, offering users an easy and convenient way to acquire the necessary components.
