Wall mounted spool holder
thingiverse
This is a wall mount filament holder, which uses a piece of 20202 extrusion to mount everything on. There's a few items which need to be purchased, as follow: 4 x 60012RS bearing (12x28x8). These go into the bobbins, and ideally should be a tight interference fit if your printer is reasonably well calibrated. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/6000-Series-2rs-2rs-Sealed-Metric-Ball-Bearing-12mm-to-35mm-Bore/322172320638?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&var=511081017617&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649 Threaded rod, M12, and 3x M12 bolts. One bolt goes on each side of the axle mount, to hold the rod. I used a 3rd bolt on the outside just to lock it in place. I used a 300mm length of rod. 2020 aluminium extrusion. The length is up to you. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2020-Aluminium-Extrusion-Profile-V-SLOT-Length-5cm-6-up-to-99-100cm-Slot-6/303710895171?hash=item46b6947c43:g:z8MAAOSwps5fkc4i 12 x M3 slide-in T-nuts. These are used for mounting the 2020 into the wall mount, and for attaching the axle mount and friction brake to the 2020. The wall mount also needs 8 M3x8 bolts, and the axle/friction each use 2 M3x12 bolts. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/M3-M4-M5-M6-Heavy-Duty-Solid-T-Nuts-for-2020-Aluminium-Extrusion-20-Series-UK/223016968596?hash=item33ecd8e194:g:oq0AAOSwO9VgNOjy M5 threaded insert + M5 hex bolt. This is for the locking clamp to hold the bobbins and spool in place. The hole on it might also be tappable for an M7 bolt if you don't want to work with heat inserts. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07PSHYNDC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 The clamp.stl should have the M5 bolt superglued into it. Friction.stl is designed to stop the spool from randomly unwinding due to any imbalance in the spool as the filament feeds. Glue a small piece of foam to the front and then slide the mount up against the edge of the spool.
