Wall-mounted microphone arm for the at2100

thingiverse

This wall-mounted microphone arm is designed to hold the AT2100 USB / XLR microphone securely in place. I created this design because my current microphone arm was consistently applying too much pressure on my desk, making it difficult to work with, and also getting in the way of my workspace. This project marked my first foray into designing something with articulation, so I omitted screws from the model, instead opting for pre-drilled holes that can accommodate standard screws. The arm should be relatively easy to resize to fit different microphones, making it a versatile solution for various applications. *Update* After assembling the model, I realized that there is limited support holding it up, which means you can only use a few of the arm parts at a time. In the future, I plan to reinforce this design to make it more stable and able to hold the microphone further out. (I'm holding it up in the picture because I haven't found a suitable spot to place it yet.) Building instructions The wall mount itself can be screwed directly into the wall, with the protruding part positioned on one side. Next, connect the first arm part to the wall mount by screwing through the hole on the protruding part. Then, attach as many additional arm parts as needed to reach your desired location. Once you've reached the required spot, insert the microphone grip's pole into one of the holes in the final arm part. You may need to perform minimal sanding to ensure a snug fit.
