Wall mounted lampshade with bracket for energy efficient light bulb
thingiverse
This lampshade provides a bright diffuse light with stronger uplighting. E.g. aimed at living room decor. It's a modification of the "knurled lamp" (Benito Sanduchi) and includes a wall mounting bracket. The intention is to connect an energy efficient bulb (e.g. 18w philips bulb, 100w effective) along with a standard lampholder wire fitting with the wire coming out the bottom of the bracket. An editable FreeCAD model is included (.FCstd) so you can tweak any part of the bracket yourself. Instructions Print the lampshade in transparent material (PLA etc). You need to disable fill material and also disable top shells. Keep the vertical shells down to 1 and turn off support material. Expect some warping. For the bracket enable fill material and use 3 or so shells (vertical, top and bottom). You don't need any support material. Don't use incandescent light bulbs as the PLA might melt.
