Wall-Mounted Filament Rack (bring your own rod)
thingiverse
Yet another innovative filament rack has been created, boasting speed holes for enhanced performance and a clever design that allows it to be mounted directly to the wall using drywall screws. To produce the other side of the rack, simply mirror the larger portion. A cap model is supplied as an example of how to effectively keep the rod from sliding off the wall-mounts. The designer aimed to make it easy to remove filament rolls, so the rod was not fully constrained. A rod from an old IKEA shelf with threads at its ends was used, allowing bolts to be inserted into these threads. If a wood rod is utilized, caps can be screwed directly into the ends. This project requires printing with a dense infill and a thick shell for optimal results.
