Wall mounted double edged (safety) razor holder
thingiverse
A companion to http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1644738 (shaving/badger brush holder). This is designed to be mounted on a wall or inside a cabinet door using double-sided tape. I modeled the mount after the Parker 96R - Long Handle safety razor, although any razor with similar dimensions and a handle diameter of no more than 16mm will probably fit. This is my second 3D model (the brush holder was the first), and I was just getting familiar with the basics of Sketchup, so hopefully it works for other people as well. This will print with "touching build plate" supports, and I did so (see printer picture). There was some drooping on the bottom and inside of the circle, but overall it's passable, especially when the razor is in the mount. Finished dimensions are approximately 51mm wide, 19mm tall, and 37mm deep. Print Settings: Printer: Monoprice MP Select Mini 3D Printer Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.1mm Infill: 20% Notes: I had to scrape down some noise on the print using a pair of scissors. It looks like my print settings need some adjusting, as I'm getting layer separation, visible in the finished shot with both brush and razor present.
