Print your design with the orientation specified in the second photo to avoid splitting the mount when holding a spool. A support is required to allow the knee brace to print properly. I designed this in university, renting an apartment where space was limited. To save room, I created a wall-mounted spool holder that didn't require drilling into walls. Most wall mount spool holders need screws, but I couldn't make holes, so I came up with this solution. You can attach it to the wall using two screws or four pieces of command strip velcro (two on the wall and two on the spool holder). It functions without bearings, but for super smooth motion, try adding two 16mm bearings - specifically 625-ZZ bearings. They're secured by two 5mmx10mm rods (available from printed solid or made) or two m5x10mm screws. The design works with either button head or pan head screws. If using command strips to hold these up, make sure they're tightly secured. Mount the spool holder above your printer and feed filament directly into it.
