To meet our specifications - effortlessly switching one spool at a time, fully printable, and durable for commercial use - we decided to design our own spool holder. This innovative design incorporates a center arm that allows two spools to connect, eliminating the need for separate arms per holder. The holder has been stress tested to withstand 50lbs when installed in concrete block using tap-con screws. Built with durability and repeated use in mind, this overbuilt holder has been tested successfully with Makerbot and DeltaMaker spools. We welcome your comments - positive or negative. Happy printing! S&G Design. All files are included in the zip for ease of access, and stl files are available separately. The holder is sliced using PyPy in RepG at 200 microns with external support and rectangle fill at 20%. Each side takes about 6 hours to print, while the tube takes approximately 3 hours. Approximately 30 meters of filament is used per side. Post-processing is minimal; simply tighten edges with an xacto if needed.
