Wall mount ptfe tube/filament holder for MMU2
thingiverse
I place my spools on a shelf, then feed them in backwards to begin with. So by using these spools, the PTFE tube stays stuck in place, while filament flows smoothly in, simply guiding it along. Edit: I decided to use the Festo version for mine anyway, but with an upside-down twist. The tube makes feeding through on top easier and prevents tangling at the bottom. Best of both worlds so far. If you try using this setup, match it like my picture for optimal results. I utilize these gold bowden extruders. (Note: I have a clear PTFE tube coming out of the bowden, but it's not visible as well due to its position. Here's a better picture: https://imgur.com/a/b4qXKDH) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073TTWWN1/ I had extra spools from a previous MMU2 upgrade, which greatly improved my MMU2's performance. If you're experiencing trouble with your MMU2, try this. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3233579 Edit 3: I upgraded to the MK3S and since the MMU2s upgrade comes with a filament holder, I went back to using the original spools. The filament would get loose and fall off the main loop, getting stuck and messing up the print. This setup keeps the filament sturdy and straight, preventing it from escaping like before. V2 has thicker walls for added strength, plus you can print it without supports. (The pic only shows 3 installed, but I'm in the middle of converting - I'll have all 5 eventually.)
