My 6-year-old son received a small guitar as a Christmas gift, and we urgently needed a solution to keep it from being stepped on.\nThis design was meticulously crafted under his close guidance. The precision-cutouts at each end were explicitly requested by him so he could comfortably secure them with rubber bands.\nHe specifically wanted circular cut outs on each peg, reminiscent of the spinning tool he's familiar with from the makerspace (a lathe), which presented a challenge I had to skillfully overcome for him. He also had a clear vision for the domed ends and desired a smooth transition from the body to the pegs. To meet his requirements, I added a sturdy back plate and strategically positioned a screw hole before receiving his enthusiastic approval to move forward with production.
