Wall Mount for Salter Scales
thingiverse
This is a sleek wall mount for a set of Salter Digital Kitchen Scales, but I guess it might fit others (or could be adapted). The slot will suit scales up to 22mm thick. To assemble this I used two 100mm lengths of 25mm L-section (1.6mm thickness) and four M3 x 4mm countersunk screws. The holes in the "lower" section are 2.5mm and designed to accept two M3 screws directly (i.e. screwed straight into the plastic). To assemble this: 1. Cut two 100mm lengths of 25mm aluminium L-section profile 2. Print "upper" and "lower" for the left bracket. 3. Use your slicer to mirror the "upper" and "lower" parts and print them for the right bracket. 4. Glue the "upper" part to the aluminium section as shown. 5. Use the "lower" section as a template to mark the aluminium, then drill two 3mm holes in the aluminium and countersink them. 6. Mark the position of the "lower" wall brackets carefully, and screw them to the wall. 7. Attach the "upper" sections to the "lower" sections with M3 x 4mm countersunk screws. 8. Insert the scales and stand back to admire your work. 9. Reward yourself with a cup of coffee or tea. 13/03/23 Update * Uploaded a new STL which combines the "upper" and "lower" parts and removes one of the features so that it can be printed flat as a single part, and two additional holes so you can access the screws for mounting. No glue required with this version. * I haven't tried this new model (I used the original 2 part design).
