Wall Mount For Knuckles/Valve Index Charging Stand

7/7/09: Loaded new test block files. Realized that uploading them as one piece will allow proper testing of screw tolerance and its ability to withstand tightening. Set to final version. Leave a comment if further adjustments are still needed. EDIT 3: Uploaded a test block STL for pre-printing evaluation of screw tolerances. EDIT 2: Uploaded untested models allowing users to join the mount and stand with M4 screws. Hole depth on the stand is 20mm, while hole depth on the mount is 5mm, making M4x18 the safest choice. Holes in the stand are designed at 3.9mm to enable self-tapping of M4 threads into plastic. Screws should slide smoothly through holes in the wall mount. Choose between flat head cap screws or counter-sunk for counter sunk flat heads. Use caution when tightening, as over-tightening may cause stripped holes or cracked plastic. EDIT: Switched to a work-in-progress version after receiving requests to connect parts with M4 screws. I'm working on this now. If you want that feature, don't print the stand or this part yet. I'll upload modified versions when finished. For those fine with bonding via glue and/or tape, I'm leaving the original up. Designed a wall mount/shelf using kni8_2k's charging stand footprint. Attach the two parts together with superglue. The pictured print is held together with double-sided carpet tape, which holds well but for extra security, use a couple dots of super glue to ensure easy separation and replacement of USB cables without requiring a full reprint. Make sure USB connectors are well seated before gluing. There's still a chance the bond can be permanent, so I'm open to suggestions on joining parts while maintaining print-ability. Route cords down behind the mount through the groove in the back. Secure the bracket to the wall with screw-in drywall anchors, as the lightness of controllers and prints ensures this is secure. Just don't lean on it. Use magnetic connectors for easy placement, possibly supported by your hand if using stock cables.
