Wall Mount for Google Wifi onto a Power Socket
thingiverse
Recently I've purchased a mesh Google Wifi router system which performs exceptionally well. However, these devices are intended to sit on a table or surface, so I wanted to mount them to a wall somehow. This task became slightly complicated due to the shape of those cylindrical units (which aren't actual cylinders but rather cut cones). I envisioned the Google router looking menacing, like an all-seeing eye watching over the residents. Fortunately, we have a power outlet near the ceiling that provides the perfect spot to attach the mount without drilling. You may need to adjust the project file to match your specific outlet or design a custom mounting plate with screws for a more secure installation. Adding a USB-powered LED inside the cone will further enhance the overall effect.
