Wall mount (edge mount) for Mitchell's ceramic shaving bowl
thingiverse
I've been using my ceramic shaving bowl for years now, and I have to say, it's become an integral part of my daily routine. The problem was, however, that it never had its designated spot in our bathroom. It would just sit around, looking pretty but ultimately unused. That all changed when I decided to create a custom wall mount for the bowl using 3D printing technology. Now, it perfectly fits into place, and I can finally enjoy my morning shave with the knowledge that my beloved bowl is securely attached to the wall. When it came time to attach the bowl to the wall, I reached for some leftover 3M 468 adhesive tape. I considered using silicone instead, but I didn't want to break out a new tube just for this project. In retrospect, it was probably the right decision, as the 3M tape worked beautifully and provided a strong hold. If you're planning on gluing your own bowl to the wall, make sure to choose an adhesive that's up to the task. Also, take some time to prepare the surface by cleaning off any oils or fats that might be present. You don't want your pretty bowl taking an unplanned trip to the floor in the middle of the night!
