As a radio amateur with limited space for antenna setups, I am using mobile antennas by Diamond. These HFxxCL-whips are about 2 mtrs long and do fit on my balcony without a problem. As you have to use seperate whips for each band, you might get a small collection of those. But where to store those whips? So I designed a wall mount register to clip them side by side, not falling apart, with easy access. See photos for construction details. CAD construction made by my wife Andrea using Fusion 360.
