WALL-E (paperclip replacement using linkage arms)
thingiverse
Remixed from: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3703555 & https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4583962 Frustrated with trying to figure out how to get the eyes to work with paperclips or the remixed head center I decided why not make simple linkages to connect the eye servos arms to the eye head center piece. I also included the hole as per rene1960's center head design so you can attached the head to his neck piece remixes so you don't have to glue the head to the neck as the original design. The parts I posted are the only ones needed to make this work. In the process I found out my servos needed to be reverse looking at rene1960 photos of the center head remix they did. The original design reference photos from chillibasket showed them the way which is how I originally had them which after trying to wrap my head around how the eyes are suppose work with the servo seemed not correct which seemed odd for how well documented they had everything, but maybe it was just me. I also redesigned the center head piece to make the linkages work. I used M2 machine screws for the connections for the linkages on the 2nd last hole on the servo arms. I drilled the servo hole slightly larger to make the screws fit. Note: The linkages holes are meant so they move freely around the screw attached to the center head piece and servo arm. Also not the direction I attached the machine screws for the linkages, it was hard to get good photos to show how I did it. This is not no other modifications are required to other parts. I also added to extra holes for custom adjustments if needed. If anyone wants STEP versions just comment or send me a message and I can post them.
