Wall drill vacuum - Borehole Cleaning Aid - Remake
thingiverse
Remix of original Borehole Cleaning Aid by Miele @ https://www.thingiverse.com/miele_3d4u/designs His original @ https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4239139 I did some slight changes based on his I was using for my work. Added a little more catch for wall sediment to prevent it flowing out before getting sucked in. Created 4 snap in covers to further reduce material escape, the hole in center of each one ranges in size from smallest to largest for your drill bits. Because I needed it stronger due to being slammed around in a toolbox, I made mine at 0.2mm and 50% Concentric infill using PLA. If you take better care of your stuff than I do, you can do at 25% with any primary infill. Simply hook to standard vacuum hose, and place on wall where you plan to drill. Whether it sticks to wall or not will depend on suction power of the vacuum being used. Using a lid allows more wall suction. My vacuum is a Shark that has that heavy plastic handle on the hose. With a lid in place, it holds onto the wall fine. Interior hose size fits 32mm. Exterior measures 40mm I built using a Qidi X-Pro. Did not need any supports, rafts, etc. I wont be making any changes on this one. I do networking, so plan on building one of these to accommodate network wall jacks, which would also work for installing electrical outlets. I dont carry a vacuum with me, and some locations dont have them. So I am making a non-vacuum one with opening on bottom with an attachable catch-box that you empty afterwards, and you hold on the wall as you drill. Until then, do what I do. Use a small cardboard box and hold against the wall as you drill, and it catches everything... mostly.
