Sometimes you need to relocate a wall shelf or remove it altogether, often in a child's room, where things can change quickly. After moving it, you're left with an ugly hole that needs to be filled until you redecorate and might want to put the shelf back. To avoid this hassle, I've created dowel caps. There are two types: one with a square cap and a smaller one with a round cap. The tails edge can be easily trimmed to fit any opening size.
