Wall Control - Dremel bit holder mashup

This mashup is a remix of a couple of different Dremel accessory holders along with my wall control hook modifications at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4097266 combined with my specific slicer settings (S3D) to not cover the honeycomb infill which i use to store the bits.

NOTE: This is not standard peg board. It is only for Wall Control slot boards.

Originally I planned on creating specific holes for each accessory tool. Not knowing future needs, I added a ton of tool holes originally. However, since each one becomes a perimeter, this significantly increased plastic and slowed down printing.

After some thought, I realized I could use the honeycomb infill and then set S3D to not put a top layer, effectively making the infill the bit holders. I also added slots to store cutting wheels, drum sander, (including small), collet, and potentially a LOT of bits depending on diameter.

Print settings are extremely important as it will not be usable unless you can use Variable Settings Wizard in S3D or equivalent feature in other slicers.

Print instructions

Category: Organization Summary

This mashup is a remix of a couple of different Dremel accessory holders along with my wall control hook modifications at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4097266 combined with my specific slicer settings (S3D) to not cover the honeycomb infill which i use to store the bits.

NOTE: This is not standard peg board. Supports are enabled for the Wall Control hooks. Minimal support is actually used but it is required.
I used .3mm layer height, but anything will work.

It is important to verify that the honeycomb infill at 25% is ~4mm, import a 4mm measurement cylinder in to your slicer with the try to verify that it fits in the holes. If it is too big or small, modify accordingly.

In S3D use the Variable Settings wizard to create 3 profiles. A bottom profile that creates a solid bottom, 25% infill, and a floor for the round cutoff container, and rectangular containers on the holder. (I used 3 top and bottom perimeters at .3mm)

Create a middle 2nd profile starting right above the floor that has no top or bottom perimeters and extend it almost all the way close to the top ~2mm of the larger drum wheel holders at 25% infill. (make sure each honeycomb is calculated to be close to 4mm)

Create a third profile from here to the end with both top and bottom perimeters enabled to ensure the drum sander bits holders are covered at 25% or whatever infill you prefer.
