Wall Clock
cults3d
I built this clock design from scrap laser-cut wood left over from batches 3 and 4 of my Makerbot cuts. One great thing about laser-cutting is that even scraps have a digital design file to share. I assembled the pieces with small clips printed on my Makerbot, which work really well and I'm excited to use them again in the future. These clips are designed to snap onto 5mm material and do an excellent job of holding it securely in place. Instead of printing the clips at a 30-degree angle that would have minimized alignment issues, I decided to keep their flexibility intact. My next step is to design a more visually appealing wall mount for this clock. While it's functional and works well for now, I'd like to create something better to cover up the metal hook on the mechanism's back.
