This is a versatile anchor for suspending picture frames, shelves and more on the wall. It boasts countersunk holes compatible with standard #8 SAE screws as well as recessed openings for M3 nuts, providing numerous possibilities for securing to either the wall or item being hung. Since this component will be concealed behind the frame it supports, I printed the sample shown in the photo at a relatively low resolution. (The settings used were 0.4mm layer height, two walls and 20% infill.) The hole arrangement employed may appear unconventional, but was chosen to accommodate a section of wall where a stud could be accessed off-center. The rest of this area features paneling. As such, the right side utilizes a plain wood screw inserted into the stud, while an M3 bolt from the reverse side of the paneling is secured to a recessed nut in the anchor. The selection of an M3 from the back-side was made to minimize the bolt's size due to built-in shelves on the wall's rear surface.
