Wall brackets

Wall brackets

I use brackets to mount railroad tracks on my wall for model train purposes. They work well with Kato double tracks, although they could potentially be used with HO scales as well - weight might become a problem in that case. To use them effectively: 1. Get 1/8" x 3" x 14" basswood planks from the typical hobby shop rack of Midwest Products basswood and balsawood display. I prefer using 1/8" thick planks, but thickness isn't really a concern. 2. Use 15mm wide 3M command strips. If needed, I can revise them to include countersunk screw holes. However, these brackets are simple, light, and designed for non-permanent installations.
