This is type 3 of the Claw foot walking mechanicals, employing a cam and crank action to provide a stable walking system that avoids raising or lowering the body, as well as tipping it during movement. This design makes it particularly suitable for solar-powered walking robots, which require consistent and reliable locomotion. The unit utilizes an affordable DC gearbox type motor, ensuring efficient performance without breaking the bank. Since this mechanical doesn't have a built-in body, I attached a two AA battery box with an integrated switch to its frame to showcase its operation. A few extra screws and washers are also needed to complete the setup. I've recently added a NEW Motor Small gear STL file, which features a D slot that runs all the way through. This modification allows gear motors with longer drive shafts to still push the gear on fully, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted movement.
