Walking Gonk
thingiverse
I designed this walking version of the boxy Gonk droids seen in Star Wars using my custom design based on wind-up toys. The inner robot is powered with a 12V automotive power seat motor, which allows it to walk across the floor via remote control. Please note that the files attached here are not everything you will need to print one of these robots. Many of the parts I used were handmade from extruded aluminum, sheet plastic, storage tubs, electronics, and other materials. The attachments include all the parts I 3D printed, including his feet, various fittings, spacers, and the two gears used to propel the robot forward. The Fusion360 file I used to design the robot is also attached, which you can use to take measurements as needed. This page is intended to be a resource for anyone interested in completing a similar project. For more information, visit https://www.facebook.com/valorreplicas/.
