Walking Elephant 3D Zoetrope

Video of zoetrope in action: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_E09L5mKf18 These 3D models of working 3D zoetrope are available online. There are ten distinct poses of a walking elephant that can be observed in the video. I utilized a stepper motor and an LED strobe light controlled by Arduino to bring this concept to life. Future improvements to the design are already being planned, with the goal of achieving even better results. The best visual effect is achieved when viewed in complete darkness, while ambient lighting adds subtle motion smudges to the animation. To ensure optimal print quality, the elephants should be printed upside down. However, they need to be resized to a scale of 0.3 before exporting them to STL format - an oversight that I failed to address prior to printing. Once printed, the elephants must be glued to their respective inserts using a glue gun. The next step involves inserting these assembled components into the disk itself. To achieve proper alignment, it is crucial to insert the animals in the same order, from 01 to 10. If any poses do not align correctly, a heat gun can be used to melt and re-adjust the position of the corresponding elephant. The primary function of these inserts is to enable users to switch between different animations using the same zoetrope rig. Alternatively, you can choose to glue the elephants directly onto the disk, eliminating the need for printed inserts altogether.
