Walking Egg with vintage toy walking legs mechanism. Walks down on ramp or pulled by string with pendulum weight (ballast) on table edge (for video, see Walking Egg). Print the egg body (flat surface on the bottom, no need support). Print two legs (Left Right is the same). Print the wings (Left & Right) Print two arm pivot, glue it to the wings (Left & Right) as pivot. It's seperated for easy print. Use about 7cm filament as legs pivot through the arms/wing holes. Cap the filament ends with the wings Left & Right. The legs must be freely move without any frictions. To walk the Egg, put on a non slippery ramp (adjust the slope of the ramp), tilt slightly the Egg to left/right then release gently. Optional using pull method: Attach a thin string to the hook inside the hole at the bottom front of the Egg (string length depends on table size & height). Attach a ballast on the other end of the string, adjust the ballast weight so it's not pull to fast or to weak (I use sticky dough for easy weight adjustment). To start walking, tilt slightly the Egg to left/right then release gently.
