Walkera to DJI Phantom 1 Complete Mount

Updated 8/3/2015 Remodeled in Designspark CAD, the design is now sleeker. This complete mount allows for seamless integration of the Walkera G-2D Gimbal with DJI Phantom 1 and F40. It completely replaces the original Walkera mount. I have included both the gimbal mount with and without support designs. I created these supports using Autodesk Mesh Mixer and utilized the Makerbot slicer to optimize mine for printing. The mount utilizes compression on the cushion balls, ensuring a secure grip on the gimbal at all times. This is what I use on my Phantom, and it functions perfectly. I printed mine at 0.2mm layer thickness, and it has more than sufficient strength to support the weight of the gimbal. According to Makerbot slicer calculations, the total weight comes out to be around 26 grams (about 1 ounce). 7-17-15 The mesh on the Gimbal Mount was thoroughly cleaned up. Instructions Remove four hex bolts that hold the gimbal arm and control box in place. Reattach these components to the new mount using the same four hex bolts.
