Walkera Tali H500 BN-300 GPS Module Spacers
thingiverse
To upgrade your Walkera Tali H500 Hexacopter's GPS module to the new BN-300 model with Glonass support, you'll notice it won't fit in the space originally occupied by the old module. This is because the BN-300 GPS module is slightly larger, requiring additional room inside the drone's body. To successfully install the new module, add spacers to its base, so it securely sits inside the copter. For this reason, we created a spacer designed specifically for this purpose – print four of them in total and use longer screws than those included with the standard GPS module to attach the BN-300 unit firmly. To get an optimal outcome, ensure your printer settings include a fine resolution such as 0.1mm and do not forget to activate support. A perfect fit should result from using PLA filament. Fortunately, these spacers negate the need for an external case around the GPS module – though you still have the alternative solution of using one if desired, like with the Walkera Scout X4 drone system.
