I created this adapter from a requirement to add extra features to my radio, such as a flight mode panel, a small screen, additional knobs and buttons, etc. This component replaces the part that covers the antenna connector, allowing me to retain the original small plastic piece located underneath the pcb. The design provides a flat surface for mounting whatever I need without obstructing any of the controls on my radio. Mounting options include screws, glue, double-sided tape, or velcro, giving me flexibility in how I secure it in place. The Sketchup design file is included, enabling me to modify it if needed.
