Walker Hand Spring Combo
thingiverse
After printing the 1847 Walker I had lots of problems with the Hand Spring breaking. This was not the fault of the designer, its just that the hand spring was designed to be made of metal and not thin plastic. What I did was combine the Hand and the Hand Spring into a single mesh and ever so slightly increased the thickness of the spring. I also reduced the radius of the peg that connects it to the hammer to encourage smoother rotation. To reduce wear on the hand and the spring, make sure the chamber rotates as freely as possible. This may require cold sanding and I even added some gun oil.
